Microsoft Internet Exporer Version 8

Microsoft has released a new version of the Internet Explorer browser. The new version, called Internet Explorer 8, is apparently not completely compatible with many existing web sites. Microsoft says that the reason for this is that these web sites employ techniques to accomodate older browsers that are not compatible with its new browser. We are not sure, but we are looking into if these issues have been seen with the even more recent version of the browser (IE 9) or if it will be an issue with Windows mobile users or those users accessing our website via Microsoft game console systems like the Microsoft xbox kinect games system. So, we are not sure yet who needs to fix what. Do the web sites need to be modified or does Microsoft's browser need to build in compatibility for the existing sites? In the mean time, if you experience problems with using the StreamNet web site (there have been reports of this) with IE8, IE9, or any other Microsoft related browser, please report them to us using the "Contact StreamNet" button in the left bar. You may also want to try and enable the "Compatibility Mode" in IE8 or IE9. Here are directions for enabling Compatibility mode.
