FILE HELP
StreamNet’s Project Management and Reports page offer files in three different formats: VIEW NOW is the easiest and quickest. Click on the file name and it appears on the screen in "html" format. While all of the text should appear, document formatting is sometimes lost.
VIEW ADOBE FORMAT is a bit more involved but provides a view that is identical to that of the original document. This involves downloading the file to your computer as a "pdf" file using Adobe Acrobat. To utilize the pdf format files you must first download and install the Adobe Acrobat Reader. This takes a few minutes and consumes 4 MB of disk space but only has to be done one time. From then on you simply click on the file.
DOWNLOAD MS WORD allows you to download an MS WORD file to your computer. If you have MS WORD installed on your computer you may be able to simply click on the file name and the application will open. If this does not work, you can always save the file to a location on your computer and then open it through a compatible word processor. From here you can view the file or save it to your disk. (If you use text from one of our files in your own document we would appreciate it if you would reference StreamNet as the original source.)
If you do not have Word but would like to view the document using a Word viewer (similar to the adobe viewer) we have a Word 6.0 viewer for Microsoft Windows (1.3Mb), or a Word 7.0 viewer for Microsoft Windows 95 (2.3Mb) available.OTHER FILE FORMATS. Note that a few files in the DOWNLOAD MS WORD column are in EXCEL (spreadsheet), POWERPOINT (presentation), or other format. These are clearly labeled. You access these the same way as a WORD file but must run them through the appropriate application.
EXE FILES. Because of their large size, some files are only available as self extracting executable files (exe). To utilize these, simply save the file to the directory you wish on your local machine and use file manager or the dos prompt to 'run' or execute the file. This will extract the actual file from the exe file. You can then use the appropriate application to open the file.
We hope this range of options meets your needs. If you have problems accessing our files please send us a note through our feedback button. Tell us your problem and we will get back to you.
