StreamNet Maps

StreamNet offers several map options:

Create your own maps (Interactive Mapping) - StreamNet offers the capability to make your own maps with current information from our database. You can create custom maps showing fish distribution and other layers for whatever species and area you are interested in. These interactive mapping applications may also be used to query StreamNet information and to do basic geospatial analysis. They are run entirely through your internet browser.

Search the map catalog - The map catalog contains a collection of online maps related to northwest fisheries. From the map catalog you can choose between maps of dams, hatcheries, watersheds, fish distribution, and other features. Maps are selected via an online query system. NOTE: First time users are encouraged to review the map catalog help file and system requirements before using.

GIS Data - Streamnet develops and distributes GIS data sets which may be downloaded in an Arc Export, Shape File, or Event Table format. We currently have Northwest fish distribution coverages by species and other GIS data related to Northwest fish and streams.

Hydrography (PNW Reach) files - Streamnet has a comprehensive library of river reach files available for the Pacific Northwest (PNW Reach Files). The files were developed at a 1:100,000 scale and file documentation (metadata) is also available at this site. Arc Export or Shape File GIS data sets may be downloaded in either ZIP or TAR formats by HUC (4th Field Watershed).
