PWN Reach File, Version 2.4 Change Log

The PNW Reach Files have remained static since at least Summer 1999 with the exception of some modifications to the LLID routing system that is built on top of the linework and some minor changes to attributes. We have only made fixes when significant errors were found and the appropriate state component of the StreamNet project (WDFW, ODFW, IDFG, or MFWP) expressed an interest in fixing these errors. In addition to correction of errors, the PNW Reach files have been enhanced by the creation of LLID routes for Western Montana, (which was previously unrouted) and on some additional streams in Idaho.

This log details all changes made since 7/12/99 - no stream-level information was available on modifications prior to this date. The log file is available here for download in two formats: An Access 97 database or as a text, semi-colon delimited file. The log table contains the following fields:

HUC - USGS 4th Code Hydrologic Unit (Subbasin).

LLID - Original longitude/latitude identifier code for the stream that was modified.

NEWROUTE? - If this is set to 'Y' then this was a new route that was added.

NEWLLID - New longitude/latitude identifier code for the stream that was modified. Only applicable for new routes or when LLID attribute was changed.

STRMNAME - Name of the stream that was modified.

AGENCY - State agency that the modification was coordinated through.

DETAILS - Record of the specific change that was made.

DATE - Date that the change was made in the regional PNW data set. This regional data set is generally updated to the web site for download on an annual basis. See the 'last updated' field at http://www.streamnet.org/gisdata.html for the date of the last update of this PNW Reach File to the web site.
