StreamNet provides access to standardized data submitted by tribal, state, and federal fish and wildlife managers. This is achieved following agreed-upon policies and mechanisms that define and enforce formal rules for the structure and use of data and metadata.

To facilitate the exchange of data between StreamNet and the data managers who submit these data, a Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interface (API) is maintained. The API can also be harnessed to automate capture of data from StreamNet. The links below provide access to the policies, data and metadata standards, and the StreamNet API.
